Will you go looking for me in the sunsets?
Will you search for me among the stars?
Will you wash my favorite clothes and keep them ironed neatly in my closet?
Will you still knock on my door, knowing that I won’t be there?
Will you stock the fridge with my favorite desserts, knowing I’ll never get to eat them?
And will you keep hoping that one day you’ll catch me dancing around the house at night?
But when I’m gone,
I want you to go ahead with life.
Watch the sunsets, for I’m in the hues of the sky, and at night, I’m the star shining the brightest.
And don’t you forget to donate my clothes, or you can wear them as you like; they have my love in them, with memories woven into every thread in sight.
Also, you don’t have to knock on my door anymore; I left that place for something more.
And yes, I’d love for you to eat my favorite desserts in my memory, and finally, you don’t have to share them with me, and I think it’s kind of funny.
And no, you won’t get a heart attack anymore while catching me dancing around in the night at, although I admit I’ll miss the look on your face and the shock in your eyes.
My love,
I know I’m gone, and it hurts to say this, but you’ve got to move on.
Just remember that you’ll be forever loved by me, till the end of time and eternity.
