Reality for most of us looks like this: we have to pay bills, do our taxes, buy groceries, cover fuel expenses, and still attempt to save for our future. But this is real life, not some glorified version of it. We try to save up and inflation happens and the prices of things go up. We check price tags before buying anything, check our budgets before going anywhere and wait for sales and special deals. We often take up loans for education, housing, and cars.
Reality is vastly different from our childhood imaginations. Adulting is when we step into the real world and witness the harsh realities of our society. As kids, we all wished for adult money to buy things, but in this age of inflation, you might want to think twice.
If only the world were as beautiful as we imagined. There are trolls lurking behind fake profiles, spreading hate and bullying people because they feel entitled. Scammers waiting for you to make a mistakes . Capitalist companies marketing products under the name of benefitting people, but trust me they’d go bankrupt if they cared for us.
Taylor has a lyric
‘I’m not a princess, this ain’t a fairy tale’
I relate to it because the more I grow the more I realise life isn’t a fairytale that I’d imagined it to be. Don’t fall for the aesthetic pictures on Pinterest, they all have their own backstories
Dearest gentle readers,
Money definately won’t buy you happiness but have enough of it to live comfortably and pay your bills on time. Don’t forget to have a sense of enough when it comes to money or else you’ll waste your entire life chasing wealth. And don’t forget to be grateful in life, because once you start being grateful you’ll find yourself to be more and more happier, focus on what you have than what you don’t, I know that we all want to improve our lives but somedays all you need is to be a little grateful
A quote by Emily Dickinson
‘In this short Life
That only lasts an hour
How much – how little – is
Within our power’
