The Sun is also a star

Written by:

I hate it when people ask me what’s so special about the night sky. Everything duh.
Do you see those tiny dots of light we call stars? They look so tiny, but trust me, in reality, some of them are even bigger than our sun (fun fact if you didn’t know: the sun is also a star).
Looking at the night sky, it’s like I’m seeing beyond. I’m just so curious—what if there’s more life out there? Aliens, or full-fledged civilizations? We don’t know it for sure yet. Those stars could support life. Seeing them is like seeing the magic of our universe at its finest.

Aren’t you ever curious about why we exist? I don’t know either. Maybe we just do. But for us to exist, our dearest universe went through the big bang 13.8 billion years ago, then our sun was formed 4.6 billion years ago, and the earth was formed about 4.5 billion years ago.
And eventually, life came into existence.
The existence of life is something truly magical, because for life to exist on a planet, it needs to be in the habitable zone of its star, not too warm or too cold; it needs to have water and an atmosphere. Every living organism on this planet has battled the odds to get here. So I want you to sit with this thought.
You might know the Barbie meme: Do you guys ever think about dying?
I think we all think about dying too much.
I’ve seen all of us joking about jumping off cliffs and rooftops; trust me, it’s not funny. I’ve been there too; I’m not judging you. I know life’s really tough sometimes, and ending it seems like a better solution than dealing with it. But I want you to remember
Your life is not worthless.
Because for you to exist, this universe had to go through a lot of troubles.
You’re made of stardust; the scientific term is atoms, which are the building blocks of everything in this universe.
But let’s be poetic here. Feel the magic of the stars flowing through your veins.
You’re so full of life, my dear, and you’ve also won the sperm race.
So congratulations on everything.

Also, before I end this post, I want to give someone a shoutout.
The shoutout goes to our dearest star, Sun.
Dear Sun, thank you for all the light, for keeping us warm, and for nourshing our crops.
I know there’s a lot of people out there talking about the moon’s beauty, and yes, it is indeed very beautiful.
But let us appreciate our sun; it’s quite literally burning for us.
Thank you for everything.
